Health Care: Should the Government Run It? On the Other Hand, Do They Already Run It?

I am losing my mind trying to figure out how the new health care plan being presented is any different from anything else being presented by the Government in this country. If you did not know, the Government runs everything in this country, and if you think you have much control as a free citizen than you are truly brainwashed. I ask the question; who runs Medicaid and Medicare?
I do not want the government running anything of mine. That is why I have my own site and try to supply as much realistic news as possible. I do not like to force upon people my opinion or ideas, I like to supply facts. The one fact that makes me leery of the Government running anything is the screwed up job they are doing with everything else.
If we look at Government housing, you will have to admit the projects and slumlords the Government works with speak for them self. The water never runs clean, the heat never works and living conditions in Government housing are worse than housing for prisoners in Pontiac Penitentiary.
We as the people have to start taking responsibility for our city councilmen, aldermans, governors, senators and mayors. When we do this, we will not be afraid of Government programs because the Government will be forced to work for us. The media and conservatives always say they want less Government while they vote for programs to run everybody else’s life. If you look at the housing loans under George Bush, you will see what the Government thinks of citizens who can’t pay back the loans. I want people to really look at Medicaid and Medicare and see what benefits are there if any.
When it comes to health care, I agree we all need it. I do know however that I am tired of paying $165.00 a month for me and my family and then when we get sick I can’t afford the $25 or $50 co-pay. Luckily, as of now I only pay my own costs. Yet, I still wonder why, on my single plan, I have to pay $25 or $50 co- pays every time I go to the doctor?
I do not have the answer for health care but it would be nice to see a plan that gave me some of my money back if I did not get sick all year long. This would be great for all insurances rather for cars, houses, and life. If I outlive the policy, give me my money back. If I do not get sick, reward me with a vacation. And if I never have a car accident, buy me some new tires. I am just saying that all these programs are jokes. The people vote in the Government and then just let them run wild with all kinds of laws and policies few understand. I think this is a problem of the people not the President. I do think President Obama should ask people in New Orleans how they feel about Government programs, he might get an answer that would force him to at least read the health care bill. Until truth prevails, my eyes will be watching.
