Valentine’s Day: Another pagan holiday
Friday, February 12, 2010 at 09:13AM I have to applaud all of the hopeless romantics who use this day to let the very important people in their lives know how much they are loved and show appreciation to them. I am not against people loving each other and expressing whatever way righteously you see fit. However, it is necessary we should all understand the energy and vibration caused by these pagan holidays. I just have to, as a journalist and revolutionary, bring up the fact that this too is another pagan day built off of a false story from the Catholic Church.
This Christian story is about a few different men, not just one man. It has been documented that the first couple of stories related to St. Valentine were based on him being a martyr and had nothing to do with anything based on love and romance. A more popular story on St. Valentine speaks of a man who was a Christian and refused to convert to the religion of the king of that day. The story goes on to say that when he was jailed, he fell in love with the daughter of the King and healed her of being blind. It is written that he performed this right before they killed him. It is said that he actually wrote the first “Valentine” letter by professing his love for her right before they hung him.
I don’t know how true this story is. Like most stories told about religion back in the day, they are just an accumulation of stories and folk tales passed along by people who love to tell stories. I remember as a kid how we would say you were “telling a story” if you lied. Could it be a grey line between a story and a lie? I would think when it comes to telling a story from so long ago, it has become more of a lie to fit into the system of the day than the actual truth passed down from generation to generation.
I don’t celebrate these holidays because the basis of these holidays are based on lies and are kept in place to support this wicked capitalistic society we live in called a Democracy.
I never celebrated these holidays with my children because I never wanted them to see me as a liar. When I was kid and I found out Santa Claus didn’t exist, it was such a blow to my unconscious thinking that consciously I had to spend the rest of my life proving to myself that God existed. I didn’t want anyone to be able to come and say “Guess what? This whole God thing, it too is just a story we tell children.” Think about it! A child grows up celebrating Easter Bunnies, Tooth Fairies and a fat man named Santa Claus who does everything for you on the birthday of God. Now if you are poor and your parents can’t buy you anything, does this make poor children think God doesn’t love them? But his is Valentine’s Day so I will digress on the other lies.
If a little fat baby who shoots arrows doesn’t hit you in the ass on February fourteenth with an arrow,
Greek Gods Eros (cupid) does that mean no one loves you? Well I will not be giving out flowers or roses but it doesn’t mean I don’t Love you, it actually means I do. Until truth prevails my eyes will be watching.

Valentine Popularity history
Cupid was one of the gods of Mythology, whose name in Latin means "desire." He is usually represented as a chubby, naked, winged boy...with a quiver of arrows by which he transfixed the hearts of youths and maidens. His darts, some of which were poisonous at the tip, could pierce anywhere. The rose, which speaks of love, is undoubtedly the most popular flower in the world. By rearranging the letters in the word "rose," we get "Eros" the god of Love. This may explain why it has always been called the flower of romance, the choice of lovers in every century.
